He begins a long journey of soul searching until Olivia’s well-hidden drug addiction and involvement with ruthless criminals are discovered. This culminates in Japan with a desperate rescue attempt of a friend’s father and daughter, kidnapped by the same gang. The compelling modern day themes of drugs in our schools, marriage, divorce and second chances are explored through the intense relationships that poignantly unfold in the presence of life-threatening danger.
