Brian Tighe was born April 12, 1956 in Victoria, BC. Although Victoria is home, Brian has fond memories of time spent down on the ‘farm’ in Battleford, Saskatchewan. Brian Tighe spent his adult life working, first in many different jobs after leaving school, even going so far as to interview seniors on a Federal Government Grant to find out their needs for a local library in town; and then with great persistence, worked at various radio stations across British Columbia. TV news also came into the picture in Dawson Creek at CJDC, a CBC affiliate. But he always felt that there was something missing in his life. In this engaging autobiography, Brian spins childhood yarns and discusses his personal philosophies of life and what religion came to mean to him. He spent time with the Capuchins in Toronto, as well as Orangeville, Ontario after starting his religious life in a house on Elgin Avenue in Winnipeg. He agonized over how to realize his desire to live the religious life, but later came home to Victoria where most of his family resides.
