Description
The project got under way. They developed extraordinary skill as they worked at their new craft. The project was challenging and required continued perseverance. At last they finished. It was a true showpiece. A full page photo graced the cover of a national yachting magazine. But all was not well. They had applied so much effort building for appearance that when it came to one particular part that didn’t show, they slacked off. They decided that surely that much lead ballast was not necessary. Besides, lead was not cheap, and installation was a lot of unglamorous hard work. And then the extra weight would make the boat even more difficult to move from the shop into the water.
