A true account of a family’s desire to build a remote fly-in fishing resort in the wilderness. With the purchase of a large tract of land, in 1968, near Finger Lake, south of Vanderhoof British Columbia, the adventure begins. With only a rough road into the area, it was a daunting challenge to travel in and out for the first few years. Unforeseen events caused things to go awry almost from the very beginning. This is the story of 8 years of hard work, hardships and unforeseen happenings drastically changing their future plans. Even with major setbacks, but with the aid of helpful townspeople, a variety of visiting guests and travelers – good times were had enjoying the great outdoor life. One thing for certain, those years were never dull!
