Description

“Moore’s Law” is a realization / prediction from Gordon E Moore, dating back to 1965, about advances in computer technology. The idea, roughly speaking, is that the number of transistors that can be manufactured onto an integrated circuit doubles every 2 years. This geometric increase in complexity is one of the factors driving the ‘decline of future shock,’ which I discussed in the first issue of Neo-opsis. We’ve had decades of significant technological advancement, and many people expect it, rather than are shocked by it.
