Description

Gertrud Sorensen has been painting the Algonquin landscape for more than 30 years. She has studied both palette knife and brush painting and her work is in galleries and private collections all over the world. She is a member of the East Central Ontario Art Association and has painted with the group across Canada including Newfoundland, Quebec and Banff, and in France, Italy and Alaska. She has a Gallery Studio at Couples Resort in Whitney, where she and her husband Fritz first began Bear Trail Lodge in 1967. She continues to paint her vision of the magnificent landscape, en plein air, as often as the weather permits.
