Anyone who has traveled on the B.C. Ferries will appreciate this story. This is not about having to wait in massive lineups, just to get to and from Vancouver Island, nor is it about lousy B.C. Ferries seemingly endless need to provide their customers with poor service. It is much more than that. Are you ready? One fine evening, quite a number of years ago, I was leaving Vancouver Island from the Swartz Bay terminal, near Victoria, B.C. (Actually, it is much closer to my hometown, Sydney, B.C., but I guess B.C. Ferries needs people to recognize a larger city). Getting on was not the problem (for a change), but getting off was!
