This could be my parent’s story. Like them, Maggie and Pat met through “dance” which became a metaphor for their life. When sorrow intervened, as it inevitably will, the relentless rhythm of the dance kept them going. Self-pity did not engulf them but they danced through the shadow. Shadowdance is not a true story but has been molded by the imagination. It is however true to the human spirit dancing on through the generations and never tiring. Maggie and Pat begin their story in two separate places but their lives touch through dance. Tragedy soon engulfs them but they come through it together – the two lives becoming one.
