The sun was coming up on a rare warm April morning when Maude Higginbottom gave birth to her firstborn son Wilfred; he came into the world, as most babies do screaming the news of his arrival. Once he’d been placed in a nice warm blanket in his mothers arms he fell asleep with the most sincere contented smile on his face, a fact that Mrs. Higginbottom in future years would look back on as a sign of things to come.
