I have had the pleasure of teaching a third year English Literature class this year and have been extremely impressed with the passion and enthusiasm my students brought to the lectures. I’m reminded of how much interest there is in writing, and in poetry specifically. But how does one capture and encourage that talent? The book you are reading now is my answer. This project – to publish poems on a variety of topics and in several styles – grew out of three main elements.
